With their work in Veterans’ Park and Canal Park, plus their inspirational speeches Saturday on Flag Day, it’s safe to say that Fulton Junior High School eighth graders have earned their stripes.

Expressions of patriotism and civic pride highlighted the city of Fulton’s Flag Day ceremony at Veterans’ Park. Four representatives from the Fulton Junior High eighth grade — Raylan Cooper, Kaylee Miller, Colton Ilardi and Mia Bateman — gave speeches at the event.

Fulton Mayor Jim Rice also addressed those gathered for the ceremony.
